Often people ask us where the music goes, what sounds, what rhythms will suddenly influence the opportunity to open the doors to this fantastic world. Joram is one of this persons that had made it his dream and his future. Born in Locarno, Switzerland, on September 20 of 1985 from a Switzerland father and Mozambican mother, he soon discovers the values and develops feelings that expresses towards music. This passion for music was definitely a heritage from his father who was a huge lover of roots-reggae-dub and has a very strong relationship with music till this days. It was actually in a house party while he was still a kid when he started playing the bongoes for the first time. At the age of 19 he goes to a club called “Dachkantine” in Zurich (Switzerland) and that’s exactly where he has his first encounter with electronic music after hearing an extraordinary Ricardo Villalobos mix that’s when he finds himself instantly in love with this kind of music. After that amazing experience he soon moves to Zurich to live with his brother Ezekiel and friend Sky already DJ’s in the city. After this close relationship with music he decides to learn all he could from the best, so he can enrich his knowledge for music. Didn’t took long to become really passionate about it. After preparing for a long time and not exactly knowing what was coming to him and with a lot of talent in his hands, his career takes off and start traveling Europe. Making stops at the most amazing and chaotic cities like Berlin, London, Amsterdam and Barcelona. Looking for the most extravagant and underground places and people to share his rhythms. Discovering at the same time all the faces of music and people in it. Capturing details and getting ideas for his own presentations, from line-up, sound system, lighting, setting and location. After that great and positive experience at Zurich he goes back to south of (Switzerland) and dedicates his time not only to music but as producer and event coordinator. Due to the lack of events on that city. Him and his girlfriend started a project called “Sub-Foundation” a fresh and modern company dedicated to coordinate quality party events. Thanks to this company and the events that were organized Joram has the pleasure to share the stage with well known DJs in the industry like: Marco Carola (Minus / Italy) SIS (Cocoon/Berlin) Bloody Mary (Contexterrior / Einmaleins / Berlín), Daze Maxim (Hello Repeat / Cocoon / Dusseldorf), Jens Zimmermann (Snork Enterprises / Frankfurt), Federico Molinari (Oslo Rec. / Frankfurt).
He has been present at amazing places sharing his music . After a short period of time in the south of Switzerland. The opportunity to move little further south with his couple approached Joram. This time Barcelona was the destination. A city full of movement and constant evolution, perfect opportunity for this DJ to rock the city with his mixes. In actuality Joram belongs to “United Roots & Culture” foundation created by his father that the objective is education and providing financial assistance to African (Cities) any events, concert or activity that is organized donate the founds to this project to help fulfill their goal. Besides his participation in humanitarian events, he is working really hard for his first release. Behind this DJ console you will find a guy that is really passionate and lives for music. A really fresh and soothing beat comes out of his mixes inspired by tribal-tech-house he will quickly transform it and create new sound structure. The results are underneath your eyes and better yet in your ears.
